Rss feeds not updating ie7
As i am using IE7 and also facing the same problem.
I tried to fix it by making sure the RSS Download Engine.
When an RSS Feed is broken in Microsoft Outlook, the easiest way to repair is to recreate it. Microsoft Outlook 2007 experienced continuous problems with RSS Feeds; however, this appears to have been resolved in Outlook 2010.
RSS Feeds can become unsynchronized for a number of reasons, or may even be broken for just one session. RSS Feeds are stored in a folder titled "RSS Subscriptions" in your Outlook folder list. Select the web address, and press "Ctrl" and "C" on the \ keyboard to copy the URL.
I have a feeling that it is because it relies on IE7 and it isn't my default browser.
I also use Great News which is a portable (USB) option I have exactly the same problem with Thunderbird.
Newsgator is also good, I just got all involved with Google Reader before Newsgator became free. Used to use a separate RSS reader but discovered whats the point when outlook 2007 is looking after my email so why not RSS as well.

I noticed that some blogs tend to make you click to the site to show the full article in their rss feed - i really hate that.
